Learning Programs International (LPI) and Student Voyage are pleased to announce their merger. Effective immediately, the new organization will be known as ISA High School. ISA-HS will continue to offer the same short-term language immersion programs for college credit as well as new cultural immersion and volunteer options. Destinations this year include China, Costa Rica, England, France, Ireland, Italy, Peru and Spain. ISA High School (formerly LPI) is currently an industry leader in the high school study abroad field, offering summer programs throughout the globe, while Student Voyage’s expertise lies in volunteer programs in Central America and summer programs in Europe.
“We are thrilled to partner with Student Voyage,” ISA High School Executive Director Ivan Lopez said. “Their extensive expertise in service-learning programming in Central America will complement ISA’s existing infrastructure both there and in other parts of the world.”
Student Voyage recently completed its ninth summer offering programs in Spain, France and Costa Rica. Over the last year Student Voyage doubled in student enrollment and launched two new programs, one in Costa Rica and the other in the south of France.
“Our ability to create programs in new destinations coupled with ISA‘s history made this opportunity very appealing,” Director Jorge Giroud said. “We are extremely excited about the future.”
ISA High School will continue its flagship operations in Austin, Texas along with a new satellite office in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Jorge Giroud will continue with ISA High School as Director while Ivan Lopez will become the Executive Director.
For over 25 years, ISA has been a leader in international education. ISA offers a wide variety of education abroad opportunities throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. Founded by President/CEO Gustavo J. Artaza, ISA has sought to provide high-quality education abroad experiences for North American university students at an affordable price. In 2012, over 6,000 students participated on an ISA program, including ISA Custom Programs, ISA High School, ISA Experiential Learning Abroad Programs (ISA-ELAP) and Veritas Christian Study Abroad.
